Find answers to general employment standards questions or ask about a specific work situation by phone (in the language of your choice), email, text message, mail, or fax. In-person services are available in some locations.

Provides workers and their dependents with free advice, assistance, and in some cases representation, to appeal WorkSafeBC decisions they disagree with. The service offers training, mentoring, and advice to union and other representatives helping injured workers with their disagreements with WorkSafeBC decisions.

Pro bono (free) legal advocacy services to caregivers and other migrant workers. They help with immigration, employment issues, labour exploitation, and trafficking and human rights. They cover issues such as recovering lost wages, illegal recruitment fees, employment contracts, EI, immigration status, work permits, and temporary resident visas.

This service operates within Canada and helps migrant workers in the province of British Columbia to learn about their workplace rights and how to access services. It also help employers understand their duties when hiring workers.

Trained helpers offer free, one-on-one assistance to submit a claim for compensation from the First Nations Child and Family Services and Jordan's Principle Settlement. They can help with filling out the claim forms and gathering supporting documents. Individual support and groups sessions are available.

Provides limited free family law services to self-identified women and gender diverse people in BC. Services are provided by family law advocates, staff lawyers, and law and social work students. Rise offers a range of client services, from information and summary advice to unbundled legal services.

The legal advocate helps clients navigate the legal systems and understand complex information, focusing on the issues faced by urban Indigenous communities. Legal problems covered include tenancy, income assistance (welfare), disability, government pensions, Child Tax Benefit, debt and consumer, employment standards, and WorkSafeBC.

Provides free legal support to people and families with low incomes on issues including tenancy, income assistance, disability benefits, debt issues, and other legal matters. The program also provides public education, information, guidance, and referrals to other services when needed.

This program provides free and confidential legal information, advocacy and referrals to qualifying residents in the Lower Mainland. The program includes family law and community law advocates.

Information, referrals, and help for residential tenancy law matters (renting) in BC. They help with common problems such as tenancy agreement forms, repairs, eviction, quiet enjoyment, security deposits, fixed-term leases, rent increases, termination of services, and dispute resolution.
