Experienced advisers, from financial advisers to personal coaches, are available on the helpline to answer questions about the Disability Tax Credit (DTC), the Registered Disability Savings Plan, estate planning, advocacy approaches, government benefit programs, and more. Includes one-on-one support for the DTC application process.

An online tool to help you find a legal advocate and anti-poverty organizations that can help with issues related to family law, debt, welfare, housing, disability, human rights, employment and workers’ rights. The database includes women's shelters, settlement programs, and other community services. You can search by areas of advocacy or city.

The legal advocate helps clients navigate the legal systems and understand complex information, focusing on the issues faced by urban Indigenous communities. Legal problems covered include tenancy, income assistance (welfare), disability, government pensions, Child Tax Benefit, debt and consumer, employment standards, and WorkSafeBC.

Provides free legal support to people and families with low incomes on issues including tenancy, income assistance, disability benefits, debt issues, and other legal matters. The program also provides public education, information, guidance, and referrals to other services when needed.

This program provides free and confidential legal information, advocacy and referrals to qualifying residents in the Lower Mainland. The program includes family law and community law advocates.

Provides low-barrier wellness services to trans and gender-diverse people. Volunteer lawyers offer summary advice about legal issues you may have — family law, human rights, employment, immigration, etc. (But they can’t take on your case and act for you as your lawyer.) They can also notarize documents, for example for a name or gender change.

The program provides information or referral services, legal advice or summary, and full representation in some cases. The issues covered include housing, income assistance, disability assistance, benefits, tenancy disputes, CPP, debt, and other income support programs. You can also find help for human rights violations and labour law issues.

Atira’s Legal Advocacy Program provides a wide array of legal advocacy services to low-income women, with a focus on poverty law matters. The program also offers safe and supportive housing to women and children affected by violence.
