The Settlement and Integration Program provides information and support for housing and tenancy, Canadian law, including rights, and taxes and government benefits.

The housing support program offers assistance with navigating the housing system for those at risk of homeleness. Program also offers tenancy advocacy, including completing housing applications and help with tenancy agreements. Intake appointment required.

For Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (2SLGBTQIA+) individuals and families in BC. Provides free legal and wrap-around services for tenancy, human rights, employment, family, and other legal matters. Trans ID and fingerprinting clinics are also available regularly.

Provides legal information, advice, referrals, and representation to low-income immigrants and refugees. They help newcomers navigate the Canadian legal system and understand their legal rights and responsibilities.

The Community Law Advocacy program provides free and confidential service to people with poverty-related legal issues including human rights, employment, debt and collections, and tenancy. Helps with appealing denials and applying for provincial and federal benefits of all kinds. Victim Services program is also available.

Book an appointment to speak directly with a court registry employee for assistance with court related matters by video or phone. Court registry staff will try to answer your questions about court processes, but they cannot help you complete your forms or give legal advice.

A directory of civil, family, child protection, and med-arb (mediation-arbitration) mediators across BC. Mediators offer service in various languages and set their own fees, as listed in their profiles. They are impartial and won’t make decisions for you. They maintain a safe, confidential, communicative process to help you reach an agreement.

Find a notary by searching by name, location, or language. Notaries provide a broad range of legal services, including affidavits for all documents you need at a Public Registry, authorization of minor child travel, certified true copies of documents, powers of attorney, and will preparation.

The community law advocate helps with income assistance, tenancy dispute resolution, Employment Insurance, and federal income benefits. The family law advocate helps with desk order divorce and other family law issues, domestic violence screening, protection orders, and safety resources. Pro bono law clinics and BC Housing workshops are available.
