Helps you work out your next steps if you’re pre-separated or recently separated by giving you key information as the first step towards a non-adversarial process in settling your family law matters. They don’t provide legal advice, but for a small fee offer coaching, help filling out court forms & accompany you to lawyer appointments or court.

This free service from Legal Aid BC helps survivors of family violence with both legal and non-legal issues. You’ll get support from a lawyer and an advocate who will assist you throughout your family law case and help you manage any related problems.

Family support workers can help with information and assistance filling in court forms, as well as support for custody disputes and family violence. Social workers can also attend case conferences, advocate with MCFD, and assist with preparation for court and meeting with lawyers.

Victim services provides support with filing a police report, court accompaniment, assistance talking to Crown Counsel, and support with Victim Impact Statements.

Court outreach connects women with community partner agencies including legal services, housing options, government services, and social services. Also includes family justice court support.

Legal Booth is a referral based program for SARA clients that provides 30 minutes of legal advice in family law. Legal Booth may also be able to help with completing legal documents for eligible clients.

This service provides support and referrals to people in BC whose intimate images have been shared (or threatened to be shared) without their consent. They can contact online platforms and/or perpetrators to request the removal of images, and help make a claim with the Civil Resolution Tribunal (CRT) for an order to get the images removed.

For Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (2SLGBTQIA+) individuals and families in BC. Provides free legal and wrap-around services for tenancy, human rights, employment, family, and other legal matters. Trans ID and fingerprinting clinics are also available regularly.

Provides legal information, advice, referrals, and representation to low-income immigrants and refugees. They help newcomers navigate the Canadian legal system and understand their legal rights and responsibilities.

Free and confidential support for women experiencing or at risk of abuse or violence. If you self-identify as a woman over 19 years old who live in Metro Vancouver, you may be eligible for this service.
