Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (FMEP)
BC Family Maintenance Agency (BCFMA) monitors and enforces maintenance orders and written agreements filed in court (for either child support or spousal support). Once a case is enrolled, BCFMA works with both the payor & the recipient to try and keep maintenance payments up to date. If payments aren't made voluntarily, BCFMA has authority to take a range of enforcement actions to collect the support payments. There is no cost for services and either the payor or recipient can enroll.
