Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (FMEP)

Family Maintenance Enforcement Program (FMEP)

FMEP monitors and enforces maintenance orders and written agreements filed in court (for either child support or spousal support). Once a case is enrolled, FMEP works with both the payor and the recipient to try and keep maintenance payments up to date. If payments aren't made voluntarily, FMEP has authority to take a range of enforcement actions to collect the support payments. There is no cost for services and either the payor or recipient can enroll.
