What do I call a judge in court?

When you are in court, what you call a judge depends on the court level.
BC Provincial Court
In the Provincial Court, call a judge Your Honour. This applies to the special courts such as Downtown Community Court, Drug Treatment Court, Indigenous Sentencing Courts and youth criminal court.
BC Supreme Court, BC Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court of Canada
In these courts, judges are called Justices. In a courtroom, call them:
- Justice, Madam Justice, or Mr. Justice (if addressing one judge)
- Justices (if addressing more than one judge)
- Mr. Chief Justice, Madam Chief Justice, or Chief Justice (for the Chief Justice of the BC Supreme Court and the Chief Justice of Canada only)
