Migrant Workers Centre - Legal Advocacy
Our legal advocates and staff lawyer provide free (pro bono) legal advocacy services to caregivers and other migrant workers. We help with immigration, employment issues, labour exploitation and trafficking and human rights. Issues covered include recovering lost wages, illegal recruitment fees, breach of employment contract, applying for EI, advice on immigration status, work permits, misrepresentation, temporary resident visa, and judicial review of immigration decisions.
