Where can I find the court rules and forms for Supreme Court cases?Effective July 1, 2010, there are new court rules and forms for Supreme Court cases. In fact, there are two sets of rules:
- For family law cases: New Supreme Court Family Rules and Forms
- For all other Supreme Court cases: New Supreme Court Civil Rules and Forms
The rules and forms have been revised in part to make them more user-friendly and readable. Good starting points for the new court rules include:
- The provincial government has published fact sheets that provide an overview of key features of the new court rules: Key Features of the New Civil Rules and Key Features of the New Family Rules.
- As well, the provincial government's website offers more information on the new rules, including flowcharts showing the progress of a claim and information on how the rules were developed.
