Our role is to protect the integrity of the bankruptcy and insolvency system, and our mission is to ensure public confidence in the marketplace. For debtors and creditors, we make the bankruptcy and insolvency process easier to understand and provide them with the information they need to best manage their situations. We also license and regulate trustees, the people who administer bankruptcies and insolvencies, and ensure they comply with all aspects of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
