The Advocacy Centre


The Advocacy Centre is a non-profit, community-based organization which provides legal information, education and problem solving for low-income residents of the West Kootenay region, including Nelson, the Slocan Valley, Salmo, Kaslo, Nakusp, Castlegar, Trail and Grand Forks. We are based in Nelson. Staff also travel to Castlegar, Trail, Salmo and Kaslo and provide service by phone, fax and email as required. We focus on topics such as welfare, family law, tenancy, women’s safety and poverty.
